About the Initiative
Caring for one another | Connecting the community
The Initiative’s mission is to strengthen our community during the COVID-19 pandemic by supporting in-need populations through companion and grocery delivery.

The Initiative’s vision is to mobilize youths across Ontario to demonstrate active citizenship by promoting our robust community spirit and unity.

The Connect Without Barriers Initiative knows that our strength lies not only in the words we stand by, but most importantly through our projects and actions. Motivated by the social challenges during the pandemic, the Connect Without Barriers Initiative is a volunteer initiative formed and run by university students across Ontario. It is difficult for students to contribute to the community’s effort, especially with the public health measures in place. Similarly, during this time many populations in our communities also feel isolated and less supported physically, financially, and emotionally. Consequently, the Initiative was created to provide youths with an opportunity to support our community’s effort in the pandemic by bringing unity and lifting the community’s spirit.
